The Key Guys Take First Place in the 59th Firemen’s Softball Tournament
Key Guys (Lakeville) captured the Tier II title over Silverbacks (Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul) to win its first Firemen’s title by a final score 30-20.
The Key Guys Championship Team with Trophy
The championship game, played at Bloomington, MN’s Valley View fields was a first for the team sponsored by the Twin Cities Top Automotive Locksmith firms, also called The Key Guys. But it started out in a challenging manner with the fired up Silverbacks taking a solid 7-0 lead.
But not to fear, the Team had been hitting well all weekend, averaging over 24 runs a game over the entire tournament. In short order they overcame the deficit and quickly assumed an 11-7 lead. From there is was all smiles as they went on to clinch the title with a final score of 30-20.
The team plans to play in 13 USA Softball tournaments in all this year, and is looking to add to their trophy count.
The Firemen’s is getting to be a nationally known tournament with one team hailing from Florida making the trek to Minnesota to contest in the Tier I category.
Manager Josh Kratz explained that it means a lot take the title. “Definately a first (for us to) win. It’s not an easy one to chase down either but it is very prestigious.”
The Key Guys sponsor, Brian Nystrom is excited about the teams progress over the years. “Just as we have built our business by meeting our customers needs with consistent effort to master the basics and then go beyond that, this team has done the same.”

We created a new version of our video and targeted it to three south of the river communities we serve with our mobile vans: Burnsville, Apple Valley and Lakeville.
These communities have grown dramatically over the past two decades and we find ourselves there on a regular basis serving the many auto dealerships in the area as well as area service stations and body shops not to mention the general public.
In this version of the video we start out with a static slide featuring Duplicate Keys. We really do recommend that people get duplicate keys made, although a lot of our business is from those who for what ever reason seem to have lost their only key.
And yes, car keys do cost more these days, but having duplicates is just good common sense and in reality cheap insurance.

Most people don’t think about it this way, but when you buy a new car or a used one for that matter you get two things, the car and a set of keys.
For most of us, the keys are an after thought. Essential but neglected, until something goes wrong.
Today’s new car keys are a lot more than the metal blanks of yesterday. The keys or key fobs can include auto door opening, panic alarms, anti-theft features and more. And sometimes these added features also include some sticker shock, when you need to get a set of duplicate or replacement car keys cut.
Like your car itself, car keys will suffer wear and tear over the years. This most frequently occurs due to the constant twisting action they receive when you turn the key in the door locks and in the cars ignition.
